SCORPIONS DRAW 2-2 AGAINST SAC CLASSIC
The Scorpions drew a hard fought match 2-2 against SAC. SAC twice came back from Scorpions leads to salvage the point. Aidan had a great match with two beautiful headers for goals. Michael and Khalid had assists. The draw puts the Scorpions 1-2-2 on the season.
SCORPIONS GO 1-1 DURING OPENING WEEKEND
The Scorpions began the season with 1 win and 1 loss for the fall season. The first match of the season saw the Scorpions go down 0-1 against Lee Mount Vernon after a hard fought match. LMV scored in the final 3 minutes to earn the victory over the Scorpions. The Scorpions defense were tremendous, locking down a team that averages 4+ goals per match. TJ made a few huge saves to keep the majority of the game scoreless.
The second match of the season found the Scorpions as 1-0 winners over Waldorf Celtic. The Scorpions dominated the match but the goalkeeper for Waldorf made a few clutch saves to keep the game close. Khalid Hirad scored the seasons first goal when he scored off of his corner kick in the first 5 minutes of the match.

SCORPIONS GO 4-0, WIN SYA CARDINAL CUP
The Scorpions began the fall season on a high note as they Won the 9th Annual SYA Cardinal Cup in dominating fashion. The Scorpions finished the tournament 4-0 defeating SYA United (3-1), BRYC Elite Blue (3-0), Sterling Power Orange (3-1) and finishing off the tournament Championship over BRYC 97 Elite (2-2, 2-1pk). The Scorpions finished the tournament with 11 goals for and 4 goals against. Great job boys!
THE SCORPIONS WELCOME MANY NEW FACES TO THE FALL SQUAD
The Scorpions will begin the fall season with a many new faces but still high expectations. The roster includes 7 players who are in their 1st or 2nd season with the Scorpions. The team welcomes back two great players for the fall season: Wil Mekelburg and Alex Bailey both rejoin the squad after a few seasons away. The Scorpions also welcome Brandon Curry and Kane van Doorn who both join the Scorpions from Loudoun. Welcome boys and also a big welcome to the families of all our new players! Looking forward to a great season!
