The Scorpions are a premier level travel team currently playing in the National Capital Soccer League (NCSL) Division 2.  The Scorpions are proud members of Chantilly Youth Association and the Legacy Developmental Program.

This year the Scorpions have a lot of chemistry with most of the team playing together for 3+ years. The team is made up of a complementary group of players that are dedicated to the game of soccer; players who work hard on and off the pitch.  The team is professionally trained and coached by Adam Baumgardner of Soccer Performance International and assisted by Andy Vera of Soccer Performance International and Abdi Hirad.   The Scorpions are always looking for skilled and dedicated players to join their squad.  Interested players can contact Coach Baumgardner at cyascorpions@yahoo.com or Team Manager Sherry Keagy at  bskdotcom@hotmail.com to set up a tryout.

The Scorpions were formed in the summer of 2006 as the first ever team of the Legacy Progam.  The Legacy Program was a joint venture between CYA and SPI Soccer to establish an Academy style format within the club.  The Scorpions trained twice a week with the SPI staff and the two other Legacy teams in their age group, the CYA Blaze, and CYA Socapaloozas.  Though formed as 3 balanced teams, the Scorpions quickly established themselves as the premier team within the Legacy Program.  Through hard work and determination, the Scorpions have quickly progressed as one of the premier teams in the U11 age group.  The Legacy Program is now in its 3rd full year and has 15 teams in the program.
