Welcome to the Home of the LNSC Strikers u9 Caledonians. A true u8 team that played in the CAYSL ( Charlotte Area Youth Soccer League ) u9 Bronze division this past Fall, the Caledonians have been promoted to the u9 Silver division for the Spring season.

The team is one of 16 Challenge/Classic teams to come out of the successful Recreational and Pre Challenge programs developing through the Strikers Soccer Center in Huntersville NC. All 8 players on the roster played Pre Challenge soccer last year and have stepped up early to play in the Challenge u9 division. The team fared exceedingly well this past Fall, matching the entire u9 division high of 7 wins and 21 points. The boys scored 42 goals in 8 games while allowing 14 against. 

The Caledonians competed in their first tournament (FCCA Fall Challenge) on Nov. 10th & 11th. The team turned in an impressive performance, winning runner-up honors, losing a tough match in the championship game 2-3.

The following weekend the team had another fantastic tournament at the LNSC Fall Classic on the 17th & 18th of November. The boys earned a spot in the semi-finals, where they lost a great match against our Strikers Gold division Highlanders, the eventual Champions of the tough u9 Black Division. Our boys played fantastic games against two of the toughest Gold Division teams - both games were tied at halftime, and our boys never gave up. The boys' determination and tenacity is matched only by the pride that we feel for these outstanding young men.

The team particpated in the Strikers Winter League in preparation for the Spring season in the tough u9 Silver National division.  

The team ended the Spring season at the top of the standings in the Silver National Division. The team went 6-1-1 for the season, with an outstanding plus 23 goal differential. Way to go Caledonians!

Player(s) of the week is our entire Caledonians squad for their dominating performance in winning the FCCA First Strike Tournament U9 division. The team went undefeated for the tournament, scoring a total of 25 goals and allowing only 7. Great job Caledonians! Next up is the Charlotte City Cup.
